Speak Up For Geography is a public campaign in support of the Teaching Geography is Fundamental (TGIF) Act now in Congress. Geography is the only named core academic subject without a dedicated federal funding stream. As a result, the United States is facing a crisis in geographic literacy that is jeopardizing our global competitiveness, our position of diplomatic leadership, and our ability to fill and retain jobs in geospatial technology.
