It's World AIDS Day 2015. There are approximately 36,900,000 people in the world living with HIV as of 2015.
Whilst we're doing well to control the virus with modern medication, medication that renders people non-infectious and gives them a normal life span, HIV-related stigma is still rife.
Stigma, defined as "a mark of disgrace associated with a particular circumstance, quality, or person", can isolate people, damage their self-confidence and self-worth. Stigma can also stop people getting tested and accessing life-saving medication.
This World AIDS Day show your support for people living with HIV around the world by adding our Twibbon.
