Hemophilia associations across Asia expressed alarm over the recent decision of the Indian government to impose taxes and duties for 76 life-saving drugs including anti-hemophilic factors, considered the life-line for persons with hemophilia (PWHs) and bleeding disorders.
“Lives of patients should not be compromised in any situation. In the ‘80s and ‘90s, we have witnessed how thousands of PWHs and bleeding disorders across America and Europe died because of tainted anti-hemophilic products,”
