Up to this day, it is already almost one year we finished our 4 years undergraduate pharmacy studies. Believe it or not, some of us are still waiting for the next interview session which is not yet determined. Yes, it is already one year, and some of us not yet been interviewed.
I'm not really sure what is the real story lies behind. Seems like nobody cares about us (graduated undergraduate). It might be easier to say, liberalization is allowed, so you can pursue your interest either industry, research or community pharmacy in 174 premises available. Yes, sometimes saying is easier than done.
The truth is:
1. Not all community pharmacies (CP) listed afford to hire PRP. This is due to the limited budget and no plan for business expansion. Some of the CP also only want (not related to budget) one PRP although there are many branches (same company) listed in the list.
2. Some of the premises have extra requirements (based on gender and race).
Alhamdulillah, for Sarawak candidates, they have done their interview after the state election. For the peninsular Malaysia and Sabah candidates, the waiting is still on. There is no definitive answer when the interview will be done. Our future is still questionable.
Please, if the country does not need much more pharmacy undergraduates, if pharmacists already enough, please, please, please, i hope make some movements or actions to limit the entry into this course. There are already 6 ipta and 14 ipts which are estimated to produce around 1200 graduates per year. If the future of 2015 graduates is still blurry, i dont know what will happen to 2016, 2017, 2018 and so on graduates. If we are planned to contribute our skills and expertise to neighbouring countries, please, enlighten our ways to that countries. So that our knowledge can be applied.
Its true, for the graduates who did not practice it everyday, the knowledge will slowly dissappear. Now i'm feeling like my dopamine level is decreasing.
Thank you to my friends who are always giving me some motivation words. It does help me to step again. Like my friend once said, "it is easier to say than done."
I'm sorry if my words may produce harm to certain individual. I'm not writing it with intention to hurt anyone.
