1. We oppose war. Under no circumstances can the values of life and peace be outstripped. 　 2. We urge the North Korean government to refrain from taking measures that aggravate the fury and the pain of South Koreans. The situation cannot afford to take another hit via a second or third wave of provocation, or even through words. 　 3. The United States should not aggravate the crisis through joint naval exercises in the West Sea, the fleet for which is said to include the aircraft carrier George Washington. The United States should not initiate a tragedy that all Koreans are to bear. 　 4. Responses resorting to arms will lead to more devastating results. We urge the South Korean government to initiate peace talks with the North and prevent the tension from escalating into an all-out confrontation.
