III International March Against the Genocide of Black People
In August 2015 we will have the III International March Against the Genocide of Black People. The International March Against the Genocide of Black People is not an action that begins and ends with one event on predetermined date. It is a set of continuous actions and articulations that occur all year, through conferences, debates, actions, community service, which build solidarity in villages, slums and prisons.
The March Against the Genocide of Black People has been organized by the React or Die! Campaign since its first march in August 2013 and who’s building and organizational processes began ten years ago. The March Against the Genocide of Black People is an autonomous march without affiliations with the government or political parties; flags pamphlets, and other advertisement material that is not compatible with the construction of an international Pan Africanist Quilombist, Black-community struggle is not allowed.
Our march is not specific to the periphery, it is not against the Genocide and Extermination of Black Youth, it is not against the genocide of the Black Population. We marched against the genocide of Black People and as such, we aim to organize our people in a respectful and committed way to fight, and build power. We do not seek to integrate in a racist and neo-colonialist State. We seek its demolition!
Our march is not revendicative and so we do not expect presence of any government, to fight the crisis generated by any government, bargain positions in any government. We have already observed these unethical devices in the March II (Inter) national March Against the genocide of Black people and we are creating the mechanisms to overcome them. Any financial project that uses the march for curriculum, for any 2016 electoral gains with the sacrifice, is exploiting the mothers and relatives of victims’pain and sacrifices of mothers and relatives at the hands of the Brazilian racist state. This will not be on our behalf. It will not be the III International March Against People's Genocide black.
The command of the III International March Against the Genocide of Black people is by black women. Black women are at the center of this march, at the center of building community, and at the center of creating life, protection, resistance and the struggle for our people. So the every committee in the states will have women coordinating of fact; men have the supportive role of organizing the March under the direction of women.
Our march is in poor communities, villages, slums, Jails, Prisons and Penitentiaries any place of articulation and organization, and these locations should get the fundamental reflections that will guide our debates and positions in the First International Meeting for a Pan-Africanist Formation and Organization that will occur during to the III International March Against the Genocide of Black People.
Our march has ethical principles that are non-negotiable, and guidelines based on our autonomous history of resistance, independence, horizontal organization and the process of liberation. Do not squander our history, our pain, the blood and the pain of our people for a political project that does not have Panafricanistas principles!
Our march is connected by the Fourth International Garveyite, which articulates support actions in Latin America, Europe, USA and Africa. So there is a demand and direction. Any other initiative outside of this perspective is not the March, it is something else, but not the III International March Against the Genocide of Black People.
