It Matters to Me

For almost 130 years, First Nation, Métis and Inuit children in Canada were taken from their homes to be assimilated within government-sanctioned, church-run Indian Residential Schools. Deemed inferior, their respective cultures and languages were systematically stripped away, many of the children brutalized far from loving families who were powerless to help. This is Canadian history - a shared history - too often untold, too easily ignored. You can change that. Tell everyone, tell them today: "It Matters to Me.”
