A Twibbon to step up social resistance against Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman's cruel, unusual punishment of a trans woman who tried to save her life. On 2 May 2012, Freeman, pushing for murder despite evidence, coerced Crishaun "CeCe" McDonald, a 23-year-old trans woman of colour, to accept a guilty plea of 41 months in a men's prison. The night of 5 June 2011, in Minneapolis, CeCe and friends, all persons of colour, were verbally assaulted by a group of drunks loitering outside a bar, then physically attacked. It came without provocation. CeCe & her friends had been walking to the store. One aggressor slashed CeCe's face with a beer mug, shattering and slicing CeCe's salivary gland. The aggressors, all Aryan sympathizers, shouted racialized, cissexist, transphobic, anti-gay slurs at CeCe & her friends. In the melée, one aggressor, 47-year-old white cis man, Dean Schmitz, who wore swastika tattoos, was fatally stabbed. No charges were filed against the cis aggressors.
