White Ribbon Campaign

The Other Half launch Ireland's first White Ribbon Campaign on the 23rd of November 2010. www.theotherhalf.ie Men are invited to wear this white ribbon on their profile pictures to speak out about violence against women. The campaign is asking men to take three simple steps to start breaking the silence on men’s violence against women. Speak out against violence against women. Wear a white ribbon to say no to violence against women. Sign up on our website whiteribbon.ie to show support for this campaign. The campaign supports men to talk openly about violence. Men need to join with women to help address it. This campaign is the first major activity of 'The Other Half' which is a new alliance of men and women working together.It is made up of SafeIreland, Rape Crisis Network Ireland and the Men's Development Network. It's supported by the National Development Plan and Cosc, the National Office for the Prevention Domestic, Sexual and Gender-based Violence.
