Why I'm Standing... I believe in the power of the student movement to achieve tangible change for students in Scotland. My candidacy for NUS Scotland is inspired by my passion, aspiration and drive, backed up with solid experience, radical new ideas and a broad section of student support, all validating me as a credible candidate to lead our national movement. Our movement must not be reactionary and short-sighted falling short of our member's expectations. We must be bold in our vision, imaginative with our ideas and realistic in our approach, to take back control of the student agenda. I am a grassroots campaigner with a record of campaigning and delivering, united with students from FE and HE, towards a common goal. I will be the vision ary President who empower students, officers and unions to be forces of change within an energetic, united and pro-active national union.
