Bruce W. Johnson departs from Jacksonville, Fl. on January 15, 2010 to run 3,000 miles by April 15, 2010 for his hometown's crisis center. What's his goal? To raise as much money as possible for the Community Crisis Centerof Elgin, Il.
With every step, Bruce runs to make sure there's always a safe place to go. He runs so that his past helps create a better future for others. The campaign "Step by Step, Foot by Foot" asks people across the United States to buy one of Bruce's steps.
Why $12?
Bruce is literally donating his feet (and entire self) to this cause. This makes his feet key to the movement. We thought, what if you could buy every step Bruce takes with his feet? There are 12 inches in a foot, thus the idea was born. Steps can be purchased at http://bit.ly/usrun.
