Approximately 10,000 greyhounds retire from racing each year in the UK, typically between three and four years of age. Many never make the grade or retire at a much younger age as a result of minor injury. The RGT are the main organisation in Britain for the adoption of retired racing greyhounds. They rely on donations to keep dogs safe and well until they find their "Forever Home". Some however, never find homes and so the RGT desperately needs funds to ensure these dogs live the rest of their years happy and healthy at the RGT kennels. The RGT was first established in 1975 and has homed some 45,000 dogs since then. We have 73 branches across the length and breadth of the UK, from the Isle of Skye to Jersey.
