NOH8 created a custom campaign on Twibbon to raise awareness about the initiative protesting against Proposition 8; a proposition that amended State constitution in California banning same sex marriages.

With their custom campaign, NOH8 were able to have supporters auto-follow their Twitter account @NOH8Campaign. So for every person that wore their Twibbon, automatically became a new follower!

After impressively gaining over 37,000 supporters, this led to an additional 37,000 followers on their Twitter account (an excellent return on the one-off $99 fee), significantly increasing their online publishing channel. All these supporters were branded with the same distinctive overlay and created social networking buzz by tweeting and conversing about the campaign.

As well as these extra followers, the custom campaign allowed NOH8 to increase the number of likes for their Facebook page by promoting it on their Twibbon page. They also increased traffic to their website by setting up an automatic redirect to NOH8Campaign.com whenever a user supported their Twibbon; another feature of Twibbon's custom campaigns.
