Mountain Rescue

The Mountain Rescue service will provide assistance to anyone who becomes lost or injured in the mountains, fells or moorland for whatever reason. The emergency service is provided 24 hours per day 7 day per week and operates in all weather conditions, and is co-ordinated by volunteers. Mountain Rescue in the whole of the United Kingdom is free of charge both to the person rescued and to any organisation to which they may belong.
