Moebius Syndrome Awareness

Moebius Syndrome is an extremely rare neurological disorder where the sixth and seventh cranial nerves are improperly formed or missing. This causes partial to full facial paralysis, leaving the diagnosed person without the ability to blink or form facial expressions - this means no smiles. There may also be numerous other maladies caused by Moebius. Moebius only affects between two and twenty births in one million. January 24, 2011 is the First Annual Moebius Syndrome Awareness Day.
