We found this dog wandering on Divisadero and Haight and we instantly fell in love him. We wandered around for a few hours looking for his owner, and eventually drove him over to Animal Control to see if they can find his owner - but we're secretly hoping that they don't so that we can keep him. <b>Update:</b> spoke with Animal Control. Turns out there are weird legal issues with dogs that are turned in and he must remain in a kennel for five days. ... they <b>can't even take him for a walk</b> because there's a chance that he could be lost or hurt, and the city could be held liable. I offered to leave a <i>cash deposit</i> to allow us to foster him at our home until his owners are found or the 5 days are up. Apparently this isn't possible. Visits are out of the question as well. He must sit in a kennel for 5 days unwalked until we can even <b><i>see</i></b> him.
