2012 CIBC Run for the Cure

The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure is Canada's largest single day, volunteer-led fundraising event dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research, education and awareness programs. It was founded by a small group of volunteers who wanted to raise awareness and funds for the breast cancer cause. The CIBC Run for the Cure has made great strides since then, while staying true to grassroots and our volunteer founders’ vision. Last year, Canadians united to raise over $30 million in the 2011 CIBC Run for the Cure. The fundraising efforts and volunteer support of over 170,000 annual participants allows the Foundation to continue funding groundbreaking research, education, awareness and advocacy initiatives. This overwhelming support reached international soil in 2011 to include the first international Run site, in Kandahar, Afghanistan. For more information, please visit cbcf.org.
